Ezam prepared to face Anwar in Bandar Tun Razak

Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth chief Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor is prepared to contest against PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should there be a by-election in Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency.

He told a news conference here that he was not afraid and was willing to face the former deputy prime minister if the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership wanted him to contest in the area.

Mohamad Ezam is now an Umno member. He handed over his membership form to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on May 28.

"I'm an ordinary Umno member. So, it is best that the issue of candidacy in the area, more so if it is against Datuk Seri Anwar, be decided by party leadership.

"But I want to stress and reiterate that I’m ready... I’m not afraid to face Datuk Seri Anwar if the party wants me to contest in the by-election," he said when commenting on a statement by Anwar two days ago that he might consider contesting in the constituency.
The area is currently held by Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, who is Selangor Menteri Besar and PKR secretary-general.

There were speculations that Khalid might vacate the seat to pave the way for the by-election.

Meanwhile, commenting on Anwar’s claim that the Pakatan Rakyat would form the government on Sept 16, Mohamad Ezam said it was just a story "crafted to divert the people’s attention and not based on a serious agenda." Ezam said it would be impossible for Anwar to form the government.

"Today, it is becoming clear that the Pakatan Rakyat is a fragile pact. The crack is appearing and we see this in the statement made by (DAP chairman) Karpal Singh who is unhappy over the dialogue held between Pas and Umno.

"This goes to show that there are indeed internal problems in Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar knows this," he said.

On Anwar’s claim that there would be up to 30 BN members of parliament crossing over to Pakatan Rakyat, Mohamad Ezam said the claim was baseless.

ACA probe : Seizes 8 Proton Perdana

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Anti-Corruption Agency has seized eight Proton Perdana V6 cars used by state executive councillors.

The cars were taken to facilitate investigations into their maintenance cost.

State ACA director Sharuddin Sapian confirmed the seizures, which were carried out on Thursday and Friday.

Since investigations began, nine people, including four drivers, civil servants and mechanics have given their statements to the agency.

The ACA stepped in after the state government said it was replacing the national car with a fleet of Mercedes Benzes because of the high maintenance cost of the Perdana.
Executive councillors whose Perdana have been seized are using the new Mercedes.

Political : UMNO vs PAS v2

I find it interesting that DAP is the one who's the first to voice out their tingling "some shit is up" sense on these talks between UMNO and PAS.

It could be because they've not forgotten how they were left hanging in the Opposition side after '69, all alone, when Gerakan and PAS joined the government.

So yes, the inate threat of PAS joining the ranks of the government is not exactly something new to them.

However, we must see and note just why exactly PKR is staying so calm. Is there something that PKR knows about the muzakarah's that DAP does not? If so, why?

Is this perhaps a scheme by the PR to attract the UMNO MPs to cross over come September 16th?

Whatever if is, I find it altogether worrying because a merger of UMNO-PAS would be the most racist and conservatively Muslim party in the region, and I don't find that healthy at all.

PRICE rise rise Rice

It seems not long ago, a pack of 10kg rice only cost about RM21, then it was increased to RM33 and shockingly just about 1 or 2 months after the increase, now the price has sky rocked to RM45! That is 2.14 times of increase, or 214%. I wonder any of bank FD or deposits or investment will give a return of 214% to the depositors/investors?

I just wonder, is it not rice under the control item? Oil only increased 41%, how is it the price of rice can go up so high? Moreover, I thought the government is looking into this issue....

How come there is no announcement on the price increased? What if a barrell of oil hits USD200, what will happened then?

If you are a minister working in the domestic trade and consumers department, maybe you would want to advise us?

Political : UMNO vs PAS

ay what’s wanted and what’s needed, no doubt the meeting between UMNO and PAS is nothing more than a political khalwat. If not, why these :-

1) meet secretly once, twice, thrice……

2) many UMNO and PAS own people are not aware;

3) even BN component parties were kept away;

4) agenda of meeting also questionable;

5) lie to the public saying it’s for the benefits of all others;

6) selfish and ulterior objectives are the priority;

7) betrayal to many including the voters;

8) denial of political motives;

9) offering of MB ( not Mercedes Benz )………….

Further :Kudos Proton + ACA But Boo To Terengganu State Gomen

PROTON had made the right move to probe allegations of `high-maintenance-cost` for Perdana. However, instead of just investigating dealers at Terengganu, maybe PROTON should consider find out more about other dealers at other states as well.

Swift actions are needed because any delay would have give way for the culprits to `cover-up` their mistakes. Light sentence shall serve as `reward` for those who are convicted but willing to confess or assist the investigation of the mis-used of the money or over-claim so that the culprits would face justice the soonest possible.

I believe by taking this action, everyone will be alerted that every actions taken will be followed by consequences. Well done PROTON, it's simply the right move to make.

Kudos Proton + ACA But Boo To Terengganu State Gomen

Kudos to Proton and ACA for taking swift action to suspect irresponsible dealers. This should serve as a good example to the others. Proton and ACA should perhaps also give the assurance to the people that the same will happen if the Rakyat report such cases to Proton.

Another shocking discovery about our "jiwa Rakyat" politicians though. It seems these people are so "detached" from the Rakyat whom they "claim" to represent. They have not a clue about what reasonable price to service a Proton car. They have not a clue about how much the Rakyat pay for car services, and obviously they have not a clue about or don't give a crap about how to save money and being a "water fish" (cantonese) to these irresponsible profiteers.

Malaysia Politic put Malaysian to shame

What is going on with the political scene in Malaysia? This is totally embarassing and unexceptable to the Rakyat, as these "MORONIC" actions taken by our so called leaders to protect each others self interest are causing our country to lose integrity and trust in the eyes of of the world.

Our previous leaders and heroes took 50 long hard fought years to get us where we are today, but all these sacrifices will be in vain as our country's sovereignity is in jeopardy not because of outside forces, but due to self-inflicted circumstances. No thanks to our government and the local politicians who are suppose to protect our beloved country and its people!

Why are all these 'Soap Opera' like incidents cropping up faster than weeds growing in the fields? If those politicians involved are reading this, please don't do further damage to the already fragile image and reputation that you people have caused to our motherland. There is a popular Chinese Idioms that states," IT TAKES YEARS, DECADES AND CENTURIES TO BUILD, BUT IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT TO DESTROY!"

Latest update on "Malaysia Soap Opera"

"Balasubramaniam retracts allegations against Najib" - i cannot believe my eyes today , after all the media hype yesterday , today statement is a complete reversal.

So we are entertained by yet another interesting episode in the blockbuster drama , we all know the actors and actress including the supporting one. I just couldnt wait for the next revelation in the upcoming episod . Funny they seems to introduce the dramatic revelations one day at a time . I think my greatest imagination and wondering brings me to the following question ? Will there be a youtube movie of this act?

Stay tune... its worthwhile to watch. Completely a diversion from daily problems such as higher material cost , higher food cost , higher tyre cost ,lower bonus..... and increasing opportunity of being unemployed
