Shah Rukh Khan can’t come to receive Datukship

If it would have been a knighthood from HRM the Queen, I bet he would be there one week in advance before the event could have taken place. I hope

1. UMNOputras nationwide will lodge more report to the nearby police stations as this event has been cancelled several times.

2. All Muslim NGO must go on a march to protest and boycott Shah Rukh Khan as he didn’t respect ( just create the story like how you all did to the opposition MPs an so on) the Yang di pertua of Malacca.

3. Awang Selamat from Utusan will write more inspiring racial based stories based on this matter in order to get more support for UMNO

4. Please make sure that the CM comes with a valid reason as how you all pressurized LGE and Prof Ramasamy over certain issues involving both.

5. Sue him in the court by charging him for being insensitive to the Malay Ruler because a lot of you people out there are good in creating trouble as well stirring racially biased stories for the sake of FUN.

Malaysia government is not lying on statistics

The economy of America, and the economies of all countries, is becoming integrated into a new global economy. Looking backward to a world that economically no longer exists as a guideline for what is going on is woefully incomplete, inaccurate and provides no insight except to point out the reality that we are living in a new age with new forces, flows and dynamics.

Although standards of corporate governance have improved greatly in Malaysia in recent years, and despite the fact that foreign companies - in particular foreign manufacturing companies - continue to be welcomed with open arms, Malaysia's business environment continues to disappoint. An overall score of 61.5 ranks it 36th (out of 167 countries), but places it firmly below regional competitors Hong Kong and Singapore - which score 82.2 and 83.8, respectively - as the country's affirmative action policy serves as a serious barrier to foreign firms in a number of key areas, and corruption remains a key concern.

Two issues are currently dominating Malaysia's political scene and present possible threats to stability. The first is an ongoing war of words between Abdullah and Mahathir. Mahathir has been critical of Abdullah's style of leadership and his abandonment of major infrastructure projects, and had gone as far as to accuse him of nepotism. Though there is an imminent change in leadership is minimal, but confidence in the government has been damaged. The second issue is race. Sentiment at branches' annual assemblies of the ruling UMNO party was heavily pro-Malay sometimes seemed threatening other races and this has damaged the government's reputation.

Malaysia is highly externally dependent, with exports contributing over 120% to overall GDP, and as the global economy slows, Malaysian growth will drop. Little support is likely to come from the domestic economy, which will be feeling the effects of monetary. Inflation, however, is not expected to ease and will not drop below 2% after the effects of fuel price hikes last March. I am not sure that the stimulus plan will help to support the economy later in next year. However, referring to some statistics, think the government is not twisting her statistic.

Relatively, though we can't smile but I do hope we can breath easily on the oncoming onslaught of recession in year 2009.

USM giving recognition to Nicol David, Dr Sheikh Muzaffar

Came across this piece of article but I can't remember where.

Apparently USM plans to give some form of recognition / award to Nicol David, our dear Angkasawan and some students.
Here's the deal - it's justifiable for Nicol David to receive such an honour as she has done us proud and is constantly seeking to improve and win more titles. As for the Angkasawan...what did he contribute to our country? It's with the taxpayers money that he was sent to space, and now it seems that he accepted "contributions" for his lectures. Hmm....so does he even deserve a recognition from USM? In my opinion, NO.

I shall post the article when I find it. Anyway, the issue here is not the article but in general, should Dr Sheikh Muzaffar receive such awards or honour? You be the judge.

Razak off to Oxford University

The irony of life is without question.

He was born with a silver spoon, had the best education. Maybe because he was of the 'right' race, colour and religion.

He admits that he had an affair with her. He kept it from his wife, daughter and others. He travelled the world, dined at the best restaurants etc.

On finding out his deeds, his wife and daughter forgave him and embraced him with open arms.

The prosecution failed in proving the case beyond reasonable doubt. He was set free.

He beamed, smiled and laughed.

Now he is off to Oxford University to complete his PH.D.

As they say, Malaysians are no ordinary people. Is this what they meant?

EPF New Regulation on withrawal

Big news and bigger problem to the public!!!

I wanted to withraw money from my account 2 for buying my 1st house. S&P has been signed so do the loan agreement. The house is purchased under me and my boyfriend's name. When i went to submit my forms for the withdrawal, the staff told me i cant withdraw my money. Reason: New regulation. Under the new rules ONLY brother sister, husband wife and parents children relationship CAN purchased the house together and withdraw their money from EPF. If no relationship, you can withdraw the money not even 1 party. This new rules started on 05/11/08.I confirm the news with the EPF telesales.

There is no such news is being informed to the public and i am sure grace period should be given to those that have sign everything for their house purchasing and waiting to withdraw their own money from EPF.
