Bush will be remembered as the worst President in the history of the world

What happened to Bush recently in Iraq is an indication that he will be remembered as the worst President in the history of the world.

Wasted more than 12b a month 2 create mess in Iraq, escalating racial n religious 10sions, tortured muslims n Palestiaians, Abu Gahrib, Guantanamo Bay, human rights abuses, skyrocketing oil prices, biggest deficit in America's history, doublled America's debt, messed up America's economy, created the biggest meltdown since The Great Depression, widened the income divide, giving nothing to lower middle classes but give hefty tax cuts to the welthiest Americans and largest corporations, climate change, destroying the environment and the long list goes on.

All these happaned during his tenure.

His popularity plummeted to record lows due to the war in Iraq and the global meltdown. Anytime, anywhere, and in fact everywhere he goes, he will surely greeted by lukewarm response, street protests etc.

The damage has been done. Even if he manage to reverse all these during last final days in the White House, he will still be remembered as the worst President in the history of the world.

IJN Being Taken Over By Sime Darby ! ?

Sime Darby Group [which owns a chain of (high cost) private hospitals] had confirmed interest to acquire National Heart Institute [Institut Jantung Negara], which is now owned by the government. At least at this moment, the public (of all walks of life) can 'access' and 'walk' into IJN for treatments, and at times appeal for assistance or lowering the fees, and if need be, seek the help of Ministry Of Health and government.

If the government intend letting the public health services (especially specialist hospitals) be privatized, due to strong lobbying of 'selected' non-govenment corporate giants, will this auger well for the Malaysian citizens? Whether such purchasers are local or foreign companies, they are still from private sectors. Unless the interest of the public and citizens interests are seriously looked into, we may lose the IJN, which thus far, has been supported by taxes and public monies.

The public should ensure that IJN should not be lost to another enterprise, whose main corporate objective perhaps is aiming for maximizing profits for its shareholders.

Very likely, some other 'specialist' hospitals and related disciplines are also subjects of being taken over. Government should at whatever (existing) costs of maintenance, ensure that such hospitals and establishmentes (like Institute Of Medical Research) remain TOTALLY in the hands of the government agencies.

A hospital is expensive to maintain. Public interests must rank paramount!

How terrible is Proton in the eyes of Malaysian?

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT PROTON CARS?Personally find it flimsy and light.

WAS PROTON CARS A GOOD BUY? Never thought of buying one.

DO YOU CONFIDENT ON PROTON CARS? More confident on Perodua.

IS PROTON CARS HAS REAL BAD ENGINE OR SYSTEM PROBLEM? Never really own one, but heard stories like Power window, steering issues on the Wajas, poor engine in Gen2.

WHAT IS ALWAYS AND FREQUENTLY BREAKSDOWN IN PROTON CARS? I'm not sure, any comment on this.

WHICH MODEL IS THE WORST FROM PROTON? Personally by view, Savvy is one ugly car to me.

WHICH IS THE BEST FROM PROTON? So far the Iswara models made during Yr 98 to Yr 2000 looks the best.

By the way, this is disclaimer that tell people, I don't own a Proton Car. In fact never owns 1 at all before. I've started by gift from my dad a Datsun 120Y (those in Penang know, this is used for Kereta Sapu). Then save enough to buy my 1st car the Kancil 660EX and driven it for 6 years. Upgrade to Kenari GX and driven for more than 4years. Now I'm driving into the 3rd month my Vios. Above questions is just to gauge, for those that really owns a Proton car before.

I've only driven Protons on joyride from relatives and friends in Wira, Iswara and Saga (Magma and Megavalve).

So honestly, guys and gals out there or out here, what is your opinion on Protons.

The importance of accreditation

I am speaking from my own experience as a clinician and an academic. The accreditation I am talking about is not Uni accreditation, but rather professional accreditation.

Depending on the profession, accreditation is important. Accreditation is what separates those who hold the necessary degree and those who hold the degree AND are actually practising according to a set of standards and regulations. This is especially important in the medical and health profession. Imagine putting your life under the care of someone who has a medical degree but has not practiced for 10 years since graduation!

Peer accreditation, especially, is important. What separates peer accreditation from government accreditation? Well... in peer accreditation, a person is assessed based on a set of regulations set by their peers. Their performances will be assessed and criticized by their peers within the same profession. This ensures a high standard of good practice. In government accreditation, a person is required to meet a set of rules set by the government and these rules may be politically motivated and have less emphasis on standard of professional practice.

Accreditation also ensures that a professional maintains continuing education and keeps up-to-date with his/her practice. This is because in order for a person to continue being accredited, he/she must submit evidences of professional activities he/she had undertaken every year (or in a financial cycle of the professional organisation etc) to maintain his/her accreditation.

This is the reason why, in certain profession, accreditation is more important than just merely holding the degree for that profession.

Accreditations from certain countries (for certain professions) are recognised by a set of other countries because the professionals and governments in those countries have committed to a certain understanding between themselves. Normally, the country which is the strictest in their accreditation will have recognition pretty much everywhere in the world... and therefore, accreditation from these countries are well sought after and highly regarded.

In Malaysia, many of the health professions are not accreditated. What it means is, there is poor regulation on the quality of health professionals, on what they are allowed or not allowed to practice etc. Therefore, one can see a dietitian (for example) in Malaysia who uses their professional degree to sell and market health products of dubious quality, making claims such as "cure cancer" or "eliminate diabetes" etc. If there is peer accreditation, such people can be easily stopped from practising or from calling themselves by a certain profession. Public awareness from accreditation will mean that people will be asking for an accredited pofessional.

Accreditation also enhances the trust the public has on the integrity of practice from the profession and increases the marketability of the profession to the public and to other people from other professions. It also helps with setting up a netting system, a monitoring system and a self-appraisal system that ensures continuing education is undertaken always.

Why accreditation is not sought after in Malaysia?

Well... in the words of someone I know (an academic from a local Uni in Malaysia)..."If we are to peer accreditate these people....more than half of them will not make the cut...how are they going to find job?"

Seat belts and overloading

Datuk Suret Singh, DG of Road Safety Department warned that the 4th rear seat passenger might get away for not wearing seat belt but driver could be fined for overloading. Said vehicles could carry only five persons.

So, you with more than three kids, be warned.

a) send kids to school - 2 trips

b) balik kampung - 2 trips

c) picnic - 2 trips

Alternative :

a) take bus

b) buy new car to be driven by wife, and have a mini convoy

c) walk

d) taxi (taxi also subject to max of five pax, so must get 2 taxies)

Agree, that safety is major issue. Would like to seek opinions from fellow bloggers, whether Datuk Suret's assessment is really practical and actually reduce risks.

Amusing food and sundry items prices despite drop of fuel prices

Today saw thestar.com.my and knew about the fuel price drop until RM 1.90 for RON97 and RM1.80 for RON92. Bravo, should have done this a long time ago. But there is another contradictive fact that keep annoying me and other citizens in Malaysia (which I believe most of us do) : the price of food and all sundry items. To PM : Do you know what type of damage have you done to whole Malaysian wallets? Maybe you don't feel it, but we all do feel it : 20-30% extra spending (which means 20-30% lesser in savings)

When the fuel price increase 78 cents in 1 shot, all sectors were trying their best to increase price and cost at all levels, which this time shows the best effort ever in history of Malaysia, from nasi lemak seller to nasi kandar seller to flour supplier to taxi and bus driver to hawkers, and TNB was among the one that fights the most (we can see all sort of funny reasons came out from those suppliers and GLCs). Funnily, Poslaju Malaysia didn't increase the postage rate while all other courier increased the courier charges almost immediately. Guess what? after fuel prices dropped down, Poslaju increased their surcharge to 25%!!! Very smart management to increase price while the cost was actually dropping. What is the consequences of these? Almost all prices increased due to increase of transportation which leads to sudden increase of inflation rate.

At the hawker center, a big bowl of Kari Mee which usually just cost RM 2.50-2.80 suddenly shoot up to minimum RM3, and the content magically reduce so much. When asked about it, they say flour and rice and mee and *fill in the blank* supplier increase cost 10-20%. Tragic increase of 25-40% of food price in general while suppliers just increase 10-20%, a typical kiasu Malaysia hawkers attitude.

Let's change to fast food restaurants. I don't really know in detail about how they rate their so-called service charges, but after fuel price increase, you really have to check your bills properly. Usually they just charge 5% for service charges, but now generally they impose 5% government tax and 5-10% of service charges. I did ask 1 of the fast food restaurant manager, he told me that it's inevitable due to government getting extra tax from them (not sure true or not). But if this is true, the government really have to re-think their policy. The maximum tax should be imposed on smokers, as those people are creating bad breathing air that can cause cancers. Why we civilians have to suffer the extra tax? We are already paying tax every year, and we are getting charged again in restaurants, and it's not little amount!!!

We Malaysian are typically not so greedy, we just want a low and stable price of food. Increase of prices during high fuel price hike, we do understand that. But now that all fuel prices has dropped, where is the decrease of food and transportation price? Increase RM 1 but drop 10 cent for each poslaju courier? Increase 50 cent for hawker food but never reduce hawker food price until now? TNB die die want to increase tariff as soon as the fuel price goes up, but now that the fuel price dropped, the CEO of TNB just keep quiet? If the government has a leader with conscious mind, the prices of food would have drop alot by now, electricity tariff would not be so burden to majority of us now, and you, the ruling party of Malaysia, you won't end up losing 5 state to the hands of newly-formed Pakatan Rakyat just like that.

Please, do something for the benefit of people. BN is already losing people vote and faith nowadays, it's time to wake up and do something right.

Shah Rukh Khan can’t come to receive Datukship

If it would have been a knighthood from HRM the Queen, I bet he would be there one week in advance before the event could have taken place. I hope

1. UMNOputras nationwide will lodge more report to the nearby police stations as this event has been cancelled several times.

2. All Muslim NGO must go on a march to protest and boycott Shah Rukh Khan as he didn’t respect ( just create the story like how you all did to the opposition MPs an so on) the Yang di pertua of Malacca.

3. Awang Selamat from Utusan will write more inspiring racial based stories based on this matter in order to get more support for UMNO

4. Please make sure that the CM comes with a valid reason as how you all pressurized LGE and Prof Ramasamy over certain issues involving both.

5. Sue him in the court by charging him for being insensitive to the Malay Ruler because a lot of you people out there are good in creating trouble as well stirring racially biased stories for the sake of FUN.

Malaysia government is not lying on statistics

The economy of America, and the economies of all countries, is becoming integrated into a new global economy. Looking backward to a world that economically no longer exists as a guideline for what is going on is woefully incomplete, inaccurate and provides no insight except to point out the reality that we are living in a new age with new forces, flows and dynamics.

Although standards of corporate governance have improved greatly in Malaysia in recent years, and despite the fact that foreign companies - in particular foreign manufacturing companies - continue to be welcomed with open arms, Malaysia's business environment continues to disappoint. An overall score of 61.5 ranks it 36th (out of 167 countries), but places it firmly below regional competitors Hong Kong and Singapore - which score 82.2 and 83.8, respectively - as the country's affirmative action policy serves as a serious barrier to foreign firms in a number of key areas, and corruption remains a key concern.

Two issues are currently dominating Malaysia's political scene and present possible threats to stability. The first is an ongoing war of words between Abdullah and Mahathir. Mahathir has been critical of Abdullah's style of leadership and his abandonment of major infrastructure projects, and had gone as far as to accuse him of nepotism. Though there is an imminent change in leadership is minimal, but confidence in the government has been damaged. The second issue is race. Sentiment at branches' annual assemblies of the ruling UMNO party was heavily pro-Malay sometimes seemed threatening other races and this has damaged the government's reputation.

Malaysia is highly externally dependent, with exports contributing over 120% to overall GDP, and as the global economy slows, Malaysian growth will drop. Little support is likely to come from the domestic economy, which will be feeling the effects of monetary. Inflation, however, is not expected to ease and will not drop below 2% after the effects of fuel price hikes last March. I am not sure that the stimulus plan will help to support the economy later in next year. However, referring to some statistics, think the government is not twisting her statistic.

Relatively, though we can't smile but I do hope we can breath easily on the oncoming onslaught of recession in year 2009.

USM giving recognition to Nicol David, Dr Sheikh Muzaffar

Came across this piece of article but I can't remember where.

Apparently USM plans to give some form of recognition / award to Nicol David, our dear Angkasawan and some students.
Here's the deal - it's justifiable for Nicol David to receive such an honour as she has done us proud and is constantly seeking to improve and win more titles. As for the Angkasawan...what did he contribute to our country? It's with the taxpayers money that he was sent to space, and now it seems that he accepted "contributions" for his lectures. Hmm....so does he even deserve a recognition from USM? In my opinion, NO.

I shall post the article when I find it. Anyway, the issue here is not the article but in general, should Dr Sheikh Muzaffar receive such awards or honour? You be the judge.

Razak off to Oxford University

The irony of life is without question.

He was born with a silver spoon, had the best education. Maybe because he was of the 'right' race, colour and religion.

He admits that he had an affair with her. He kept it from his wife, daughter and others. He travelled the world, dined at the best restaurants etc.

On finding out his deeds, his wife and daughter forgave him and embraced him with open arms.

The prosecution failed in proving the case beyond reasonable doubt. He was set free.

He beamed, smiled and laughed.

Now he is off to Oxford University to complete his PH.D.

As they say, Malaysians are no ordinary people. Is this what they meant?

Malaysia - Will reducing wealth gap alone narrow the race gap?

Eradicate poverty regardless of race

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was reported as saying that all races living in this country will refer to themselves as Malaysians once the economic gap between them is reduced. His contention may be true to some extent but economic disparity alone is not the only reason for the failure to achieve racial unity to the desired level. What is needed is a genuine desire and whole-hearted commitment to by all to close this widening gap between and within the various ethnic communities in the country.

There are many other factors that need to be fulfilled before one feels proud to call himself a citizen of his country. The situation can be compared to a family where the children feel proud to be members of the family not just by the money and comforts provided by their parents but by the love and appreciation rendered to them. Money and wealth may be important but far more important is the need for appreciation of one’s love for the nation. In the US, descendants of once an enslaved race now proudly proclaim themselves Americans and they excel in almost every field like the descendants of their masters.

While it may be important to eliminate the economic disparity among the different races it is equally important to rid of such disparity among all citizens regardless of race. It is utmost to ensure that such measures to eliminate this disparity among the races are not abused by those in power otherwise it would result in one group becoming overtly favored over the others. They should not be used as excuses for encouraging corruption and abuse of power resulting in a small segment of the elite amassing wealth at the expense of the vast majority of the people who continue to suffer in poverty and hardship.

Eradication of poverty should be a top priority of the government and it should deploy all the resources at its disposal to ensure its endeavors succeed. Poverty is color blind as it transcends all racial divide, so should be all attempts in its eradication.

The government has embarked on many development projects since independence to eradicate poverty among its people by its policies to restructure society so that no one particular community will be identified with poverty and backwardness. There is no doubt the target groups have benefited tremendously by such measures. However due to overzealous implementation of these projects unfortunately certain other groups have been neglected resulting in being left out of the mainstream of the rapid socio-economic development thereby giving rise to much unhappiness and frustration among them.

It is important for the government to realize its shortcomings and address this issue of poverty among its entire people for lasting peace and harmony in our multiracial nation. Race based policies initiated 50 years ago may not be relevant anymore due to the rapid advances taking place in the country in a highly competitive global world. It is timely to review the policies of the past and make amends to improve their effectives in a new social-economic environment.

There is no reason for any group to suffer in poverty particularly in our country that is endowed with abundant God-given natural resources. All that is needed is a fairer, prudent and more accountable management of the economy of the country which the government has pledged to undertake.

Aren't we all racist?

Job seekers may have read lines such as the following:

1) Chinese female preferred

2) Chinese preferred

3) Indian Christians preferred

4) Malays preferred

5) Bumis only

Whatever the race, aren’t we all racist? So, let’s not drum up the mantra that only certain races are always the victims.

Singapore bans Julie biscuits

t is shocking to read in Singapore's NST this morning that our Julie biscuits was found to contain excessive Melamine and subsequently banned from sales in the country.

By now I'm confident Malaysia's national food authorities should by now been duely notified and I hope proper investigation and action to suspend further manufacturing by this company is in place.

In the best interest of all fellow Malaysians who are likely regular consumers of this brand, I also hope that our rightful authorities will publish findings with full facts.

As a regular consumer, if it is true that this manufacturer is guilty of using Melamine above permitted levels, then our authority must take every legal avenue to penalized the perpetrators. The Melamine issue is no longer a new topic and big manufacturers cannot always hide behind a veil of deceit claiming they are ignorant or that they are also victims using by-products purchased from 3rd-parties. All large food companies like Julie's should have by now taken necessary precaution to double check and certify that their by-products are not contaminated, as they should know the source of their purchase.

It simply leaves a huge question on the part of the company's integrity and social responsibility to continue using this substance until caught by AVA of Singapore.

I hope our government will take the sternest action against this manufacturer, as it cannot be taken lightly for a MNC to betray the trust of consumers who were the reason of their success.

30% Bumi Equity through NEP

TDM insists that the target of 30% Bumi equity in public listed companies must be maintained:

"He said it is not the right time to adjust the country’s overall economic policies because the target to help bumiputra Malays reach 30% ownership of the country’s wealth has not been reached."

Firstly, the fundamentals behind the objective to help Malaysia achieve 30% ownership is flawed. This is because the methodology and process to achieve the objective aims to GIVE the Bumis 30%, rather than implementing programs that will help the Bumis EARN this 30%. It even comes across as if public-listed companies are forced to give 30% equity to Bumis, or else...

Secondly, as the economy grows, and more companies are listed, this 30% will always be an illusive MOVING target. Which means it may never be achieved.

Thirdly and sadly, if TDM insists that 30% target still not achieved after so many measures imposed over so many years, then it is obviouus that the NEP is not effective. And continuing on this lost cause ad policy will simply burden both Rakyat and Govt. The sad truth implied by TDM here is that Bumis still cannot stand on their own two feet after so many years and so much assistance from the government. I, however, disagree, and believe that there are many very capable Bumis out there running some very successful companies and businesses.

What is needed is to put in programs that will teach the Bumis how to fish, rather than giving them fish.

Petrol price reduce lower than RM1.92?

I just don't understand the maths from the news above.

To quote certain parts of the article:

Ahmad Sarpur, a dealer in Johor, said dealers could lose between RM13,000 and RM25,000 each time petrol is reduced by 15 sen per litre.

“This is because there is a minimum order quantity of 21,000 litres that we must pay for immediately. There is no credit,” he said.

“If the petrol is delivered in the morning and the price is reduced at night, we have to sell petrol 15 sen cheaper than what we had paid for it.”

Shahrir said the Government had been fair to the dealers saying: “We have not reduced their margin of 12 sen per litre after it was increased in June and we will try as much as we can to keep upcoming price reductions to 15 sen at a time.”

Now, let's do the maths according to the article.

If the margin is 12 cent, and the government lower the price by 15 cent, the petrol dealers lose 3 cent per litre. If minimum order is 21,000 litres, this translate to a lost of 21,000 x 3 cent = RM 630, less than a RM 1000 as opposed to the blown up figure of RM13,000 to RM25,000. To lose RM10,000, one particular dealer will need to order 333,333 litres. In a time when the petrol price is erratic, which trader in his right mind will order that much amount of litres?

If Shahrir said the petrol price can never go below $1.92, what happens when the crude oil per barrel is less than USD 40?? Its sad that now that the economy is going downhill and moving towards global recession, the government is still thinking of squeezing from the rakyat. The rakyat paid the taxes, and still need to pay more than the world crude price, again who should be subsidizing who?

By the way, the petrol was raised to RM2.70 when the crude price hit $147 for a few days. Now that the crude oil has fallen more than 50% below USD 70 for more than a week, exactly how much should the rakyat pay per litre? I have no problems solving engineering maths, but somehow I could not crack this calculation. Can anyone do the maths for me? At night, we have to deal with thiefs, now we need to deal with daylight robbery, and this comes from none other than our beloved government! Is that's a Malaysian life should be?

NEP

by DPM "Liberalisation of the NEP will only be implemented when the bumiputras feel more confident and competent."

When will it ever be the right time?

To MCA, this topic is top on your agenda. You were brazened with your words. Now where is the action? Wait another 51 years? Let me assure you, this time the cows won't come home!

Stick to Bahasa, Penang told

This is purely a very lame excuse given by a person so called a “minister” and it sounds like he is doing it for the sake of his political mileage. Mukhriz Mahathir does not want to debate

Mukhriz gave two reasons: (1) party elections are internal matters (2) Opposition will spin something out of the debate. What he may have failed to realise is that he could very well become Prime Minister of Malaysia one day. So, why doesn't he start by showing to all Malaysians who he really is and what he really stands for. Malaysians may already have become too tired with the politics of anti-Social Contract keris-waving UMNO Youth leaders in our midst. And to say that the Opposition will spin a story, that's so not matured. Of course, everyone will have something to say after a debate.

Come on Mukhriz Mahathir, show the steel in your spine?

5 Months Countdown for Pak Lah

For the past 5 years many people just can’t recall what Pak Lah have really contribute or done as a Malaysia PM that is worth remembering. Well some of you might have different view and arguments that he is a gentleman in handling serious national matters and we might overlook some of the internal changes that Pak Lah had made all this while. All the past Malaysia's PM we have recognize them as a Father of "this and that" as for Pak Lah i heard some media is reporting him as a Father of Revolution (correct me if I’m wrong). I must admit Pak Lah do take a bold step in Revolutionize 3 major so called "headache" in Malaysia: The Police Force, Juridical System and the ACA. Come to think of it can Mr Pak Lah really pull it off?? 5 Years Pak Lah have been a gentlemen in his own cabinet (maybe got bullied and push around) and now Pak Lah is trying to accomplish the impossible in 5 months!

Will this be another Mission Impossible 3 (Pak Lah succeeds) or Just another Hoax in Ocean 13 (trying to deceive), or Mybe Pak Lah is more like a Dark Knight (fighting a lonely battle)

As for the future PM Mr. N.....well we just have to wait and see. Hopefully he won’t "Sign Up" for another Space Tourist Package at any MATA Fair.

How come Tun Dr Mahathir can't speak?

I really was quite annoyed when the PM made a statement saying "Tun better don't speak at all".

Why can't he speak? If a former PM can't speak, then what about little commoners like us who've been shouting in CB all this while? What about the gentle reminder we have given the government in the recent general election? Like Tun Dr. Mahathir, many of us are not UMNO members too. I am not a member of UMNO myself and truly not interested to be one, I may die terribly if I even think of being a member of any political party. Many of us, who are not UMNO members, gave our vote to opposition parties because we want to give a 'loud message' to the government. Won't they listen to us?

Dr. Mahathir might have been a very authoritarian PM and a dictator (if anyone may call him that), but surely, he's a way better PM than Pak Lah! That's why he can always speak.

And mind you, he's a Malaysian citizen too, no matter how much anyone might have hated him. If we try to shut his mouth, then we are trying to shut a citizen's mouth, just like CB is filtering our postings and that's not democratic, right?

All I am saying is that, everyone should be given the rights to speak their mind, regardless of whether we and the government want to give a damn to it or not. Don't stop him no matter how grumpy the old man can be, because if we stop him, we give the government a reason to stop us.

Mediocre and Senseless

Basically and finally PM has bowed to the internal pressures of the Mahathirs clique and severals others in the Umno.

This basically shown, the senseless bunch on of so-called VP's and delegates from UMNO has as leaders. Ultimately, these guys has confirmed to the norm mindsets, that they know nuts in economies, administration and public relations.

All they know is confrontational, narrow and egoistics style to run their systems of cronies.

The PM, may not be best we have, but at least he is far better than the so-called successor. In which the successor has been successfully being very much tainted with conspiracy and scandalous incidents.

At least, the current PM never had such issues.

The successor, is also remembered for mentioning people's blood will soak in his keris. More or less tells us, he is not truly multi-racial mindset. In fact during Ahmad Ismail speeches, he did not reprimand him on the spot. Instead after all the hulabaloo then, he apologizes on behalf half heartedly.

Secondly, along his tenure in administration, he was never known to be great statemens with good international relationship to the West. Maybe to Russian and Mongolia in defence contracts discussion only.

A PM needs to be good architect of foreign policies in order to secure international confirmance in economies or many thing else.

Maybe you call me a hypocrite, be in my 2 cents, I could not imagine what more worse still Malaysia will be the kind of group leading our nation.

May all the gods, angels, deities and saints help Malaysia.

Action to be taken against Hindraf

Breaking news: Action to be taken against Hindraf.

The plot thickens now!!! Read on, friends.

“……….. the Government will take action against the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) under the Societies Act 1966 for causing a disturbance during the Hari Raya function……”

”When it comes to the law, there must be no delay. Whatever action taken has to follow procedure and legal channels. What is clear in this matter is that whoever breaks the law must face action”

“Action will be taken. We have many alternatives. Under the Act, whether the organisation is legal or not, it is still an organisation. If it is not legal, action will be taken based on the provisions for an illegal organisation, unless if it is legal then action will be taken under the proper provisions

Please read those paragraphs carefully, dear citizens. Let us not look at it from a racial point of view. Let us read the lines again from a humanistic point of view, and now, let us ask ourselves:

What law was broken?, and how do we define “causing a disturbance”?

If the Act prescribes for a specific course of action to be taken, the respected Senator would have had no second thoughts of announcing the definitive action to be taken when asked. Why were there no questions or concerns raised on the legality of the Hindraf since the beginning?

Can we take that to mean the administration is thoughtless?

Can I say that was the last straw that broke the camel's back??

world OIL Price is Down Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The oil price is down again.

it is about 88 per barrel juz now i saw

10 things UMNO must do!

For Umno to remain relevant and appeal to the masses, it has to evolve to suit the expectations of a fast-changing Malaysian society.

1. Be a true champion of Malays - No lah, tells Malaysians lah...

2. Put a full stop to money politics. - Can't do that, too many out there!!

3. Renew the fight against corruption - Start digging the accounts of MPs and Aduns over the last 20 years

4. Put serious checks against patronage and its abuse - Need to check the processes involved in purchasing the submarines

5. Set benchmarks for all contracts and procurements.- You mean to say that we have not learned anything about awarding contracts and lean procurement?? After 51 years??

6. Be less racial. - Forget it, as long as we exist, we will be racist to the teeth.

7. Be more tolerant in terms of religion - Yes, we will break more places of worship that belongs to the non-malays and offer them land near a septic tanks to rebuild new ones.

8.Cut the emotive content in language issues - Can't do that, because UMNOputras will not support me if i'm not emotional and provacative.

9.Become more accommodative rather than confrontational. - Chinese go back to China, etc etc etc....

10. Be a true champion of Malaysians - Cannot do that, the moment we get the biggest majority, we will divide and rule again for the next 49 years via racial card policies so that UMNOputras can start earning.

Our local universities gone to the dogs !!!!

What has the country's public universities done to our tax payers' money?

In 2006 when UKM was ranked 185, UM at No 192. UM in 2004 was ranked 89th. One year later, in 2005 it sank to 169. In 2007, it was not even on the list.

Universiti Sains Malaysia, which was ranked 111th in 2005, crashed out of the list in subsequent years.

Look at our region , Australia has 7, Japan 4 Hong Kong 3, Singapore 2, China 2, South Korea 2 and even Thailand has 1 in the list. To rub salt to the stupidity of our system UM refuses to recognise degrees from Beijing University, ranked 50 and Tsing Hua University ranked 56 in the Top 200 World University Rankings,.

We spend lots of money on our universities, it is time they get their house in order. Why not start with getting some accreditations such as AACSB or EQUIS, for some of its discipline..

HINDRAF a hindrance

The commotion caused by the Hindraf group during a Hari Raya celebration at PWTC on 1st of October was an insulting event to all Muslims in the country. I was there, and I'm telling you, I felt disgusted at the length they go to in order to put forward their grievances.

Come on, the Muslims have been fasting during Ramadhan… that means they have not been enjoying any food or water for a month. They’re tired and they want to celebrate the end of their fasting month, okay?!

But no… it’s the first day of Aidilfitri and these Hindraf supporters came to the open house at PWTC on the pretext of being guests of the ministers’ invitation and went bashing everyone at the party with their politically motivated sentiment out in the open.

It was a rude, malicious, shocking and sneaky attack on the other guests who came to celebrate the joyous occasion with others from multiracial background. It was like having angry PETA protestors for Christmas dinner at the Times Square.

These Hindraf group showed no respect to others by barging into a happy festival to disrupt peace and making everyone unhappy in the end. Not only did they take the food and beverage prepared by the caterers in the hall, they also took advantage of other people’s kindness and hospitality. History has never seen such worse guests.

On top of that, the group resorted to dirty tricks by using children in their campaign. This is not the first time children were used in their plots. For the sake of their political motives, the Hindraf members are willing to destroy their children’s innocence. What we’re seeing is open child abuse by the Hindraf members.

If those fathers really love their children, they wouldn’t have commit acts that threaten the security of the nation that result to their detention and separation from family members. If those fathers really love their children, they wouldn’t have allowed their children to be involved in their fight. If those fathers love their children, they wouldn’t have sacrificed their children to attain their political leaders’ goals. Why should the children be made responsible for their fathers’ crimes? The Hindraf members are killing the children with their love.

The Hindraf members demand that the ISA be abolished so that the political detainees can be freed. What then after the ISA is abolished - let the political detainees happily resume their campaign to break up the nation?

If the ISA is so wrong in humanity nowadays that it should be abolished, then they should consider abolishing their association too. Look at the commotion that these Hindraf members have done in the past, do they think that what they’re doing is according to humanity?

They protested at peaceful events, they caused a riot at a holy place like Batu Caves, they used children to cover up their campaign, they gave a bad image of Malaysia to tourists visiting the country, they tried to influence Malaysians to believe that there is such thing as race-based oppression in this multiracial country…

Look, Hindraf members - we can accept it if you are fighting for some temples being demolished by the municipal council or Indian children not getting fair treatment at schools. But the thing is, you are not fighting for the right cause and you fight dirty. Your association is turning into a political organization disguised under the name of Hinduism. You are deviating from your true sense of justice and humanity by creating ripples in the society that may cause further rifts among Malaysians. Your faith does not teach you to hate, it has for centuries taught you to love. Like Rama you should defeat forces that defy the power of love, not blindly destroying love itself.

Hindraf is heading to the same darkness as the Al-Arqam had gone to. Maybe it is time to abolish Hindraf before Hinduism in Malaysia is tarnished by more despicable acts of these irresponsible people who hide under the name of faith.

Can We Trust Our Online Banking?

A number of comments has been made on our online banking. Is it safe? I must stress that I have full confidence in our banking system. I has been using online banking for the past 6 years, no problem at all, only all the convenience I enjoy.

We must NOT:

1- reveal our ID and password to anyone / anytime

2-write down our ID and password anywhere

3-log in to the banking web site through an email sent to you (this email is fraud)

4- log in thru cybercafe / pusat internet

The recent scam link to item no 3 above. Remember, always log in online banking thru their proper web site and NOT thru an email sent to you.

Zul Hassan Deserve The Sacking

It is totally unacceptable that Zul Hassan said "what is important is we did not ask for the women. He supplied them to us. If people sedekah (donate), don’t you want to accept it?” What type of answer he is giving?

He further blamed that he has been framed. He didn't blame himself for the entire episod. He didn't blame himself for his sexual desire. If he can control his sexual desire, how can people frame him?

To Zul Hassan, you deserve the sacking.

Syed Hamid Albar Slapping His Own Face

It has been five days since Teresa Kok parent house hit by molotov cocktail.

The police still did not detain Teresa Kok and their parents under ISA, so called to protect their safety.

Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar is slapping his own face since he has said they are protecting her when they detained her for 1 week under ISA.

Syed Hamid, when are you going to sign the detention order to prove your sincerity and intergrity???

Or Please think carefully before you make statement or you are just slapping your own face again.

MCA + Gerakan ?

I don't see on why if MCA merge with Gerakan willl be a meaningless move as stated by LGE? I think that it will be the stepping stone on creating a 1 single party instead of branches off into smaller party like right now?

what do you think??

GERAKAN is about Movement

Parti Gerakan has tackled the impending issue head-on i.e. the issue of leaving the Barisan Nasional.

Whether they eventually leave or not is not important now that this party is matured enough to realise the need to consider this question unlike the MCA which still feel s cosy under UMNO's arms.

If indeed Gerakan leaves BN, it must ask itself as to what role it shall play as a party representing all races in Malaysia. This of course depends whether it shall join the Pakatan Rakyat which shares Gerakan's multi racial agenda.

The question would be, what would Gerakan gain by doing so? Well, at a time when the representation of the party at the national and state level is at its lowest, perhaps the real issue for Gerakan is one of survival.

Well, we shall all hope that Gerakan would listen to its grassroots and move on. Be the first to lead, Gerakan Olb Boy, since gerakan means movement in Malay.

MCA Election - Start

Yes, the MCA elections has come. From now on we shall be able to watch with glee how certain leaders of this party throw dirt on their comrades and then watch how the other comrades throw more dirt back.

It is hilarious to see how the MCA leaders still think that nothing has changed. That the Chinese community is still backing them.

This reminds me of Bertolucci's "The Last Emperor". When the already dethroned Emperor Pu Yi, after sensing some trouble asked one of his eunuchs what was happening outside the Palace Walls, the eunuch answered : "Nothing has changed Your Majesty". Just like in the MCA, the MCA top guns acting out their roles as eunuchs to the grassroots would tell them, "Nothing has changed, by the next elections, we will take back what we lost". My question is, "With what?"

Well, a lot has changed MCA ! Just open your eyes and ears and you shall see.

Some MCA leaders still think that by keeping mum on current issues and just by minding their own usual good for nothing business in the party, the problem will go away and they would eventually return to the norm.

You see, some of these smarties are still in dreamland.

I have heard how MCA leaders speak in functions. They just blabber on about how the MCA is doing everything in the name of unity. Just like how a kindergarten teacher would speak to his/her kindergarten kids.

They, the MCA people has no idea that when you go up on stage to speak, you speak of something that is of importance to the audience and not speak for the sake of speaking. By this public display we can see how the party is not insync with current developments.

The party simply has no idea how to steer the Chinese community into the future. It simply has no idea how to protect Chinese rights in the midst of a multi racial scenario. It just listen to what UMNO has to say and then just explain to the Chinese why they must listen to UMNO.

If you ask me now, I take back what I said earlier about the need for MCA to leave the BN.

If you ask me now, I think the MCA should just desolve and forget about Malaysian politics since you are of no real relevance anymore to the Chinese community when even a Malay like Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim can appreciate more than you about what the Chinese community needs in this country.

MCA you are defunct!

Hari Raya - Raja Petra

I would like to wish all readers of this blog Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and Maaf Zahir Batin. If you are traveling this season, may you have a safe and happy journey back to your home town. As for those who are going on a vacation, like yours truly, I would like to wish all of you Happy Discovery and may you have a wonderful time, wherever you are.

I am sure most of you have met people who discourage us from wishing our friends of other faiths well during their festivities. Some say that it is not right for a person to celebrate the joy and spirit of another person’s religion. I find these people very daunting indeed.

Regardless of what the government and religious zealots (sometimes they are the same people) try to tell us, Malaysians have been celebrating each others’ festivals since we started living together in this beloved country long ago. We, the rakyat should stand united and reject the segregating prophecies of these doomsayers, who have been trying to divide our society all these years.

Let us celebrate this wonderful feast in our own special way and join hands with our friends and family to propel the country towards freedom, justice and equality.

In the midst of our celebrations, let us not forget to light a candle for Raja Petra Kamarudin who has shown us the way forward as one united Malaysian nation. See “I Lit a Candle for Raja Petra

Malaysia: Its OK to negotiate with Terrorist / Pirates?

Malaysia is probably a good victim for terrorist and pirates since we actually bow to terrorist and pirate demands. The recent news of USD 4 million being paid out to release 2 Malaysian confirms that. God knows the ransom monies obtain could be used to purchase more guns and vessels for future hijacks and probably killing of more innocent civilian lives. I wonder if Malaysia's recent action contributes to more violence in Somalia. On the other end, the lives of Malaysian are saved.

What should have been done? To pay or not to pay the ransom? Your 2 cents.

Trains Collide on LRT, still want Nuclear Power?

The LRT is supposed to be highly automated and a fail-safe system. And yet, we see a collision.

Now, here is something to ponder... we want a nuclear power plant, who is going to make sure that there is not going to be any technical problem or failure, EVER?

With our Malaysian "tidak apa" attitude, do you really want to have this plant in Malaysia?

In fact, just ask yourself this question: "will you move from your house if this plant is going to be located within your neighbourhood?

10 cent reduction on fuel a joke

What an economic joke. The fuel price has dropped ... 10 cents ... But the whole article doesn't mention about the world's crude oil price which is around USD 105 now ... + / - a few dollars.

When they wanted to raise petrol prices, all they could do is mention the crude oil price at USD 140 and the possibilities of it going higher ... when they wanted to lower the prices, all of a sudden, they seemed to have forgotten about the crude oil price and could only mention that the drop of the petrol and diesel prices in Malaysia.

Crude oil prices are now very shaky and the trend seems to be heading downwards except for the fact that some nigerian morons bent to destroying the country's pipeline.

10 cents isn't going to help much since that prices of consumer goods and services have gone up and will not come down. No wonder, there are so many people complaining about the goverment nowadays. Haiya .....

What Does A Good Government Need To Avoid Causing Frustration among Rakyat?

Perhaps it's time for me to "lecture" the BN Govt on what it really need to learn if it's to stop causing more anguish and frustration among the People.

[F] air and Firm - Punishment meted out to offending individuals who threaten the unity of this country should not only be firm, but be perceived as fair to everyone ( Reference : Bukit Bendera Ahmad's case )

[R] ational - Development policies for this country has to be rational. ( Reference : Space Program - it makes no "cents" and sense why the Govt is so adamant to continue this costly program at a time when our strained economy is causing so much hardship to the Rakyat. Long term projects like this should be shelved until the country has fully weathered the increasing inflation crisis. )

[U] nderstanding - The Government must be sincere in trying to understand the Rakyat's problems , needs and wants. ( Reference : Domestic Transport Systems vs Space Program - Its a no brainer which one is a priority, but is the Govt understanding the Rakyat's needs? )

[S] mart - We need a smart Govt to handle all domestic problems and not one who is pretending to be intellectually enhanced ( Reference : Illegal immigrants and Rakyat's safety vs more military build-up. I wonder how the Govt plan to use the 2 newly acquired submarines to combat illegal immigrants who have already landed! )

[T] rustworthy - The people wants a Government who is clean from corruption and not a honey bear who constantly dip its paw into the honey jar ( Reference : Dubious NEP policies where fundings meant for the hardcore poor are being channelled into dubious companies owned by rich and well-connected Tan Sri's and Dato's. )

So, perhaps the BN Govt now might understand a little of the People's frustrations? No? Anyway, i don't expect it to.

Seeing red over RM7 price tag for a bowl of porridge

A consumer complained of having to pay RM7 for a bowl of rice porridge with some dried fish, bean sprouts and kangkung (a kind of leafy vegetable) at a food shop GUA MUSANG.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry’s director in Kelantan, Halim Abdul Rahman, said the office would check on the matter and, if the allegation was true, would advise the trader.
He also advised consumers against patronising food outlets which did not display prices.

USM chosen as Apex university over UM

USM scored an upset against the older and the higher ranked Universiti Malaya, as well as beating Universiti Kebangsaan and Universiti Putra Malaysia, which had also been shortlisted.

In the latest THES ranking, USM is listed in 307th place, while UM is the highest ranked local university at 246th place.

we're still out of top 100 ranking far . . . away

New trains for Kelana Jaya line will only be usable by Sept 2009

THE first of the 35 LRT trains ordered for the Kelana Jaya line will arrive in Malaysia by November this year to meet increasing demands. However, commuters will have to wait until September next year before the first of these trains will be usable. The entire fleet will only be commisioned by April 2011.

Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad chief executive officer Shaipudin Shah Harun said today that the reason for the 11-month wait was because the company needed to complete assembly of the trains, upgrade the power capability of the line, as well as do safety testing.

Shaipudin said the order for the trains - which are being manufactured by Canadian conglomerate Bombardier - had been made two years ago in 2006.

The four-car trains will increase the capacity of the Kelana Jaya line from 160,000 passengers to 350,000 passengers daily.

Asked about the lengthy period for the acquisition, Shaipudin said that it was the norm of the industry.
”Why does it take up to two years (for the first trains to be usable)? The answer is simple - every train is made from scratch, it costs between US1 to 2 million each and not just anybody can make them,” Shaipudin briefed reporters at a post-budget press conference held at their office.

Shaipudin said the trains were custom made and take up to a year to build.

”It is the nature of the industry,” he said.

Prasarana took over operations of both the Ampang and Kelana Jaya line in January 2005.

When asked why Prasarana had waited until the LRT had became congested before ordering the trains, Shaipudin said since the company only took over the operations in 2005, it could not be held accountable for what happened before that takeover.

Sept 2009 - Malaysian please be patient . . . . .

PM: Govt may review fuel prices next month

The government may again review petrol prices in October, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said today.

He said if global crude oil prices stabilise at US$109 per barrel until the year end, the government may reduce pump fuel prices.

“Now, the global crude oil price is at US$109 per barrel. If it stays at that level, then of course I will be very happy to reduce it by 15 sen than the current RM2.55 (fuel pump) price,” he told reporters after chairing the Finance Council Meeting here today.

“Pray that it (crude oil price) does not go up, and that it will go down more. We are monitoring all the time,” said Abdullah, who is also Fiance Minister.

On Aug 23, fuel price was reduced by 15 sen to RM2.55 a litre from RM2.70.

HOPE it can soon be reduced to the said estimated amount of RM2.40(-0.15cent)

NAJIB: Gov't does not agree to Sept 16 being made public holiday

The federal government is not agreeable to the suggestion by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that Sept 16 be made a public holiday in the five states under Pakatan Rakyat.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said there should only be one National Day for the country.

“We have chosen the date as our independence day. Having another date will give rise to all kinds of interpretation, polemic and this is not healthy to national integration.

“This is our stand; we give importance to unity and national integration,” he told reporters after launching the Chery multi-purpose vehicle here today.

Malaysia celebrates its National Day on Aug 31 every year.
Anwar had suggested that Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor and Kelantan — all of which are under Pakatan Rakyat — declare Sept 16 each year as a public holiday to commemorate the formation of Malaysia.

Penang and Kelantan had accepted the proposal while the three other states were still considering it.

Datuk Ahmad has to apologise!

UMNO apoligising on Datuk Ahmad's comments is not enough !!

We must demand that Datuk Ahmad himself apoligises to the entire Chinese community !!

Yet again we see another pathetic blunder by Barisan ! Give me one good reason why Datul Ahmad should not apoligise ??

This issue will yet again show the people how insincere Barisan is.Datuk Ahmad should be made to choke on his words.

BN will lose many votes and whaever remaining support that it has from the Chinese community will evaporate if there is no apology from Datuk Ahmad !!

Ezam prepared to face Anwar in Bandar Tun Razak

Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth chief Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor is prepared to contest against PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim should there be a by-election in Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency.

He told a news conference here that he was not afraid and was willing to face the former deputy prime minister if the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership wanted him to contest in the area.

Mohamad Ezam is now an Umno member. He handed over his membership form to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on May 28.

"I'm an ordinary Umno member. So, it is best that the issue of candidacy in the area, more so if it is against Datuk Seri Anwar, be decided by party leadership.

"But I want to stress and reiterate that I’m ready... I’m not afraid to face Datuk Seri Anwar if the party wants me to contest in the by-election," he said when commenting on a statement by Anwar two days ago that he might consider contesting in the constituency.
The area is currently held by Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, who is Selangor Menteri Besar and PKR secretary-general.

There were speculations that Khalid might vacate the seat to pave the way for the by-election.

Meanwhile, commenting on Anwar’s claim that the Pakatan Rakyat would form the government on Sept 16, Mohamad Ezam said it was just a story "crafted to divert the people’s attention and not based on a serious agenda." Ezam said it would be impossible for Anwar to form the government.

"Today, it is becoming clear that the Pakatan Rakyat is a fragile pact. The crack is appearing and we see this in the statement made by (DAP chairman) Karpal Singh who is unhappy over the dialogue held between Pas and Umno.

"This goes to show that there are indeed internal problems in Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar knows this," he said.

On Anwar’s claim that there would be up to 30 BN members of parliament crossing over to Pakatan Rakyat, Mohamad Ezam said the claim was baseless.

ACA probe : Seizes 8 Proton Perdana

KUALA TERENGGANU: The Anti-Corruption Agency has seized eight Proton Perdana V6 cars used by state executive councillors.

The cars were taken to facilitate investigations into their maintenance cost.

State ACA director Sharuddin Sapian confirmed the seizures, which were carried out on Thursday and Friday.

Since investigations began, nine people, including four drivers, civil servants and mechanics have given their statements to the agency.

The ACA stepped in after the state government said it was replacing the national car with a fleet of Mercedes Benzes because of the high maintenance cost of the Perdana.
Executive councillors whose Perdana have been seized are using the new Mercedes.

I find it interesting that DAP is the one who's the first to voice out their tingling "some shit is up" sense on these talks between UMNO and PAS.

It could be because they've not forgotten how they were left hanging in the Opposition side after '69, all alone, when Gerakan and PAS joined the government.

So yes, the inate threat of PAS joining the ranks of the government is not exactly something new to them.

However, we must see and note just why exactly PKR is staying so calm. Is there something that PKR knows about the muzakarah's that DAP does not? If so, why?

Is this perhaps a scheme by the PR to attract the UMNO MPs to cross over come September 16th?

Whatever if is, I find it altogether worrying because a merger of UMNO-PAS would be the most racist and conservatively Muslim party in the region, and I don't find that healthy at all.

PRICE rise rise Rice

It seems not long ago, a pack of 10kg rice only cost about RM21, then it was increased to RM33 and shockingly just about 1 or 2 months after the increase, now the price has sky rocked to RM45! That is 2.14 times of increase, or 214%. I wonder any of bank FD or deposits or investment will give a return of 214% to the depositors/investors?

I just wonder, is it not rice under the control item? Oil only increased 41%, how is it the price of rice can go up so high? Moreover, I thought the government is looking into this issue....

How come there is no announcement on the price increased? What if a barrell of oil hits USD200, what will happened then?

If you are a minister working in the domestic trade and consumers department, maybe you would want to advise us?

Political : UMNO vs PAS

ay what’s wanted and what’s needed, no doubt the meeting between UMNO and PAS is nothing more than a political khalwat. If not, why these :-

1) meet secretly once, twice, thrice……

2) many UMNO and PAS own people are not aware;

3) even BN component parties were kept away;

4) agenda of meeting also questionable;

5) lie to the public saying it’s for the benefits of all others;

6) selfish and ulterior objectives are the priority;

7) betrayal to many including the voters;

8) denial of political motives;

9) offering of MB ( not Mercedes Benz )………….

Further :Kudos Proton + ACA But Boo To Terengganu State Gomen

PROTON had made the right move to probe allegations of `high-maintenance-cost` for Perdana. However, instead of just investigating dealers at Terengganu, maybe PROTON should consider find out more about other dealers at other states as well.

Swift actions are needed because any delay would have give way for the culprits to `cover-up` their mistakes. Light sentence shall serve as `reward` for those who are convicted but willing to confess or assist the investigation of the mis-used of the money or over-claim so that the culprits would face justice the soonest possible.

I believe by taking this action, everyone will be alerted that every actions taken will be followed by consequences. Well done PROTON, it's simply the right move to make.

Kudos Proton + ACA But Boo To Terengganu State Gomen

Kudos to Proton and ACA for taking swift action to suspect irresponsible dealers. This should serve as a good example to the others. Proton and ACA should perhaps also give the assurance to the people that the same will happen if the Rakyat report such cases to Proton.

Another shocking discovery about our "jiwa Rakyat" politicians though. It seems these people are so "detached" from the Rakyat whom they "claim" to represent. They have not a clue about what reasonable price to service a Proton car. They have not a clue about how much the Rakyat pay for car services, and obviously they have not a clue about or don't give a crap about how to save money and being a "water fish" (cantonese) to these irresponsible profiteers.

Malaysia Politic put Malaysian to shame

What is going on with the political scene in Malaysia? This is totally embarassing and unexceptable to the Rakyat, as these "MORONIC" actions taken by our so called leaders to protect each others self interest are causing our country to lose integrity and trust in the eyes of of the world.

Our previous leaders and heroes took 50 long hard fought years to get us where we are today, but all these sacrifices will be in vain as our country's sovereignity is in jeopardy not because of outside forces, but due to self-inflicted circumstances. No thanks to our government and the local politicians who are suppose to protect our beloved country and its people!

Why are all these 'Soap Opera' like incidents cropping up faster than weeds growing in the fields? If those politicians involved are reading this, please don't do further damage to the already fragile image and reputation that you people have caused to our motherland. There is a popular Chinese Idioms that states," IT TAKES YEARS, DECADES AND CENTURIES TO BUILD, BUT IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT TO DESTROY!"

Latest update on "Malaysia Soap Opera"

"Balasubramaniam retracts allegations against Najib" - i cannot believe my eyes today , after all the media hype yesterday , today statement is a complete reversal.

So we are entertained by yet another interesting episode in the blockbuster drama , we all know the actors and actress including the supporting one. I just couldnt wait for the next revelation in the upcoming episod . Funny they seems to introduce the dramatic revelations one day at a time . I think my greatest imagination and wondering brings me to the following question ? Will there be a youtube movie of this act?

Stay tune... its worthwhile to watch. Completely a diversion from daily problems such as higher material cost , higher food cost , higher tyre cost ,lower bonus..... and increasing opportunity of being unemployed

Wake up Leader - After 100th days of the Election

It has been more than 100 days after the election. I just curious if the leader know what they suppose to do, what is their job? Till now occasionally I still read from newspaper that some MPs still try to find out why BN lose. why can't they just do what they suppose to do as MP. Rakyat will see your performance.

It has become like a Hong Kong gangster movie now, they are fighting for territory, now they lose so they are planning to get it back. Please do your good job for the next 4 yrs and Rakyat will know what to do. Not everyday talk about why u lose and how to fight back.

Sometime I really dun know what our leader is doing? These few months I only hear they talking about fuel price. After the price hike, now talk about seperate pump again for foreign car? is this fuel issue only thing to do in this country? nothing better to do? Why cannot you put more effort in getting in more investments from foreigner in Msia? how about develop our country transport infrastructure, anti corruption? The policy implement causing price hike in all area, and hurt the retail business. All these without proper plan and I just wonder how can we compete with neighbourhood country. Msia Boleh has become a joke to our neighbourhood country while they see all those ridiculous thing happened around lately.

All leader, please wake up !

Rumors leads to jams at Sabah petrol kiosk

I do not want to elaborate much on this issue, but my friend was one of the members having meeting yesterday. She had informed us to fill up our tanks stating that they have come to an agreement to refuse to sell (I would called this reliable information).

5pm – Ministry in the KPDNHEP issue statement that, 1). This is a rumor, 2). Warn against dealer that stern action will be taken against those who refuse to sell. I would call this is contradiction statement. The question? Why you wanted to warn these dealers if you are so sure this is rumor?

I can only have one assumption. Given the current turmoil boiling inside UMNO (SAPP vote of no confidence), this should not be published in any news. Otherwise, the vote of no confidence from SAPP would turn to vote of no confidence from the citizen.

However, our government should be commended on settling this matter in an overnight time.

Hope that this posting would shed some light to the CB citizen and all citizen.

Mat Rempit dies trying to flee police roadblock

From my previous post: http://blog.thestar.com.my/default.asp?d=6/23/2008

I noticed that there are people do sympathized with the Mat Rempit. My post is harsh? Read on. This happened 2 years ago, I was a traffic junction near Chow Kit, the pedestrian crossing light was green. A pregnant mother pushing a baby cart crossing the road. A group of Mat Rempit from nowhere charging down the road and collided with the mother and the baby. The mother died on the spot. The baby, probable had died as the baby cart was beyond a cart. Not a single Mat Rempit stop and help. Al I heard was "lari, cepat, lari". Case not published on papers.

A young couple driving in Damansara was chase by a group of Mat Rempit. The young couple’s almost hit my car as they tried to escape. I was shocked to read in the papers the next day that same hit a tree and the couple died. They have tried their best to save themselves but because they are too scare, the driver lost control of the car.

Tell me, are those innocent people deserve to died or the Mat Rempits? Am I wrong calling them murderers? Don’t get me wrong. Mat Rempits are not uneducated people. Some have high ranking job, university’s students, sons of prominent people inclusive of policemen. They are doing it for fun. But during their trills, innocent people got killed. Do you think all shoplifters are poor and can’t afford the item that they shoplifted? Mat Rempits have mental illness and required to be put away. I can’t think of a better term to describe them. All I know is they are murdering the innocent while committing suicide.
