10 cent reduction on fuel a joke

What an economic joke. The fuel price has dropped ... 10 cents ... But the whole article doesn't mention about the world's crude oil price which is around USD 105 now ... + / - a few dollars.

When they wanted to raise petrol prices, all they could do is mention the crude oil price at USD 140 and the possibilities of it going higher ... when they wanted to lower the prices, all of a sudden, they seemed to have forgotten about the crude oil price and could only mention that the drop of the petrol and diesel prices in Malaysia.

Crude oil prices are now very shaky and the trend seems to be heading downwards except for the fact that some nigerian morons bent to destroying the country's pipeline.

10 cents isn't going to help much since that prices of consumer goods and services have gone up and will not come down. No wonder, there are so many people complaining about the goverment nowadays. Haiya .....

As long as there is a reduction, even that it is only 10 sen per litre, it should be welcomed. Aidilfitri is around the corner, and the government is trying its best to make everyone happy, so we can imagine that it is the best price possible that the government is willing to give the rakyat.
Stop complaininglah, Alvin, or our Minister would say that since you all don't appreciate the government's gesture, then the government might as well not to give any reduction in future.

dropping 10cent of petrol price is just to please those ppl who had forgotten that the petrol price once raise at the price of 40%..dropping 10cent is only how many percent compare to the increase percentage..take out the calculator n do some calculation.hehehehe

ya the petrol price drop, but did the government order consumer goods' price to drop?? NO rite...consumer goods still as high as before..so dropping 10cent really a big joke...

dont be confuse or disguise by the political tactic..the government still didnt take good care of the rakyat.

This token of a gift from the government is already considered a generous gesture, don't you think? The general public have been going on an anti government campaign for so long now. Example: The lost in PP,the ever mounting pressure for asking our PM to step down and other difficult issues which caused our PM headaches and instability to the BN coalition party.Yet you guys have the guts to ask for the sky!
Come on.. if you were in their shoes(BN), wouldn't you be totally pissed? Hence the 10 cent fuel price reduction, get it? Common sense will tell you that this is already a positive gesture in a negative environment. This is life!

It is a good news for everyone that the fuel price is going down by 10 cents but i know that many people still think that isn't fair and enough. Some will say, we are paying back to our government although I also think so.....but when I think twice, I feel it is quiet reasonable.

This is due to the international price of crude oil is not in resting period, it is so unstable, it may going up again or going down but who know what will happen next, right? And who know tomorrow AS play another speculation on oil again....

When the price is going up back to the highest mark, and our government is reducing the fuel price by a lot sum this time, what would our government do will be raise back the fuel price, right?

When our government raise back the price, I'm sure that there will be a lot blog write that our government is useless, alway burdening people, and etc bad comment.

So, how if our government raise a bit and when this phenomena happen, our government do not raise the price, I'm sure that no one will write in the blog.....

Therefore, just take what we are gift, and alway hoping the international oil price going down like crashing aeroplane, so our burden will be ease.....It is time for us to be independent and contribute to our government financial as it is in unhealthy condition and it may not able to resist any economy attack......

Well, there's pros and cons on all aspect.

Bad thing is when fuel was increased, many trader take it as an excuse to increase prices on their products and services. It's the market's mindset that once they increase their prices, the chances of reduction is a clear NO. So what step is taken by the Ministry, to overlook the reduction when fuel has dropped from RM 2.70 to 2.40. Are they taking step to ensure that we get the reduction accordingly.

Further more, will TNB come out with a mechanism to reduce energy cost when there's a reduction. They have never been in the red before and can't be always thinking of profits. It's a major GLC with investment overseas and are the profit from the domestic or international, pass back to the Rakyat.

Basically, as a GLC they should start the ball rolling and show the Rakyat they have a "social responsibility".

With today's inflation rate, 60% of the Rakyat is suffering. It's very clear it all started when fuel was increase. Maybe the timing of the 1st fuel increasement is bad because it created havoc in the inflation.

How are we going to undo this, when it's a major mistake or judgement and when can we buy things at a affordable price, just like before the fuel increasement.

No doubt, it's a good incentive for the Government to reduce the price of fuel. Are others willing to follow suit ?

We already suffering to make end's meet after cutting down on whatever we can trim. So what's the next step the government, going to help out instead of spending so much on political warfare.
